Moving on ...

After more than three weeks in Kingwood yesterday it was time to bid adieu to our wonderful Texas family and continue the journey northward:

One last group photo - Me, Jane, Simon, Jennifer, Simon Sr., Andrew, Sam, and Whitney

Walmart in Nacogdoches, where we spent the night.  Right across from where we parked is a great little Chinese buffet (China Star) that really went the extra mile to make sure Jane enjoyed her feast gluten free.

This morning we strolled Nacogdoches' historic downtown, went to the Visitor Center, popped into a couple of antique stores, and ate breakfast at the General Store, where prices are ridiculous!  Two coffees, scrambled egg bacon & toast, and a huge egg bacon and cheese burrito - all for just $8.66.  Amazing!

Before heading east to Louisiana we took the dogs for a leisurely walk around the beautiful Ruby M. Mize azalea gardens at Stephen F. Austin University:

  1. Those Azalea's are amazing! The color, the dapple of light! Great deal at the General Store restaurant. Thank you for checking those antique shops!
