Rack cover

No, in this case the rack cover in question is not a boob tube or a bra ... it's what I'm hoping will turn out to be a really useful add-on to our roof rack.

What we discovered on our last long trip was that anything left up on the roof rack suffered badly from UV exposure - for example UV really did a number on a couple of our folding chairs.

To avoid similar UV exposure problems on this and future long journeys, I've added a rugged protective cover to the rack.

I had it custom made by the nice folks at FenceScreen - the fabric is extremely tough, provides a high level of UV protection, and is rated to last eight years.

It is simply and easily laced to the rack with a single length of 550 paracord.

  1. I was thinking of a very tidy and thoughtful Marquis de Sade, ever conscious of making sure his equipment is in good order, would have such a cover, for when the day of torture is done, and a round of ale is at hand, why not cover your "rack" from the morning dew so that it gleams fresh and ready for another day of punishment?
