We're spending the night free of charge at another casino - this time it's Fantasy Springs Casino in Indio.  The overnight RV parking area is mostly a large rough dirt & gravel patch to the left of the casino.  The access gate has a "No Overnight Camping" sign but clearly this was to be ignored as there were already thirty or more RVs and half a dozen semi-trucks encamped when we arrived.

It's a bit of a walk from the RV area to the Casino, especially given my painful knee, but this was no problem for us in the Chinook - we drove over and parked in a regular parking space while we strolled the casino and had a bite to eat.  There was still plenty of space in the RV area when it was time to call it a night.

The Casino is very handily located close to I-10, the downside being the constant freeway noise.

Here are a couple of photos this morning (2/18) ...

We snuck away at first light to find a quieter, shadier spot, with some grass for the dawgs ... only possible in a stealthily small RV like our Chinook ... not for all those humongous Class As!   Ha!

  1. Looks like a couple of kids on the bikes were taking advantage of the open parking lot space to ride around, nice!

I really love those Palo Verde and Mesquite trees with those small leaves that change direction in the sun.
