The Epitome of Geek Chic

A long time fan of things digital I've always hankered after a Casio Databank.  Beyond the multiple timekeeping functions, beyond having a calculator always to hand, and yes even beyond its innate ability to store a swath of data, there's just something glorious about having an honest to goodness real live keypad strapped to your wrist, even more so when it takes the dedication of a true geek to master its arcane syntax (see operation guide below).

Well yesterday you could have knocked me down with a feather when a most generous friend surprised me with the gift of a DBC-32-9A.

Supporting 13 languages & 25 pages of data. with a ten year battery life, this little gem uses the 2888 module, and has a particularly charming Gold LCD display - the epitome of geek chic.

Yep, I'm definitely in retro vintage geek heaven! Thank you, thank you, thank you!

  1. Bravo! What a great presentation you did to your loyal readers for this really functional watch! Another most excellent feature of this watch is the loud alarm; often is the case with digital watches the pizeo alarm on these watches is rather weak; not this model!
