Devitt Winery

Simply the best winery experience ever!
Brendan and his grandfather are the most gracious of hosts, making us feel like true guests, not just visitors.  We had a delightful time getting to know Brendan, the history of the vineyard, and of course their wines.
Jane's favorite was a 2011 Aggie Dog Red, and we got to see a photo of the lovely four legged friend for which it's named.  The 2007 Shiraz was my pick, along with an experimental, and quite memorable, cider.
Brendan helped us out to the Chinook with our bottles, which apart from the above mentioned also included a charming dessert wine, 'When Pigs Fly'.
We look forward to making a return visit when we next pass this way.

  1. How neat is that? To look forward to the return trip due to their great hospitality! Sounds like the wine is a winner too!
