Roof Bag Enhancement

Yesterday I made an internal plywood box for my roof bag to give it greater rigidity, and to protect it from any sharp objects that we might carry.

I sized the box to be a reasonably tight fit inside the bag, but with a height of only 11" versus the bag's full height of 18". The extra 7" folds inside, and the bag top snugs down nicely over the four corners of the box.

Most things I plan to carry will fit into the 60" x 18" x 11" space, but the bag can expand to its full height of 18" if and when I need to stow something taller.

For everyday use, the lower height keeps the bag tucked behind the AC, and creates less drag.
